Prima Pearl is Melbourne’s second tallest residential tower standing at 225m and 67 levels. The iconic bronze building consists of 691 designer apartments, swimming pools, day spa and steam rooms, gymnasium, private cinema, virtual golf driving range and 10 levels of high-end commercial space.
Located in Melbourne’s Southbank precinct, along the edge of the Yarra River, Prima Pearl provides sweeping views of Melbourne whilst providing residents with access to a wide range of luxury fashion boutiques, 5 star restaurants and some of Melbourne’s most significant art and entertainment venues.
Prima Pearls’ facade access solution consists of 2 parts. The first being a BMU (Excel Top Slew) permanently installed on the roof at Level 69 which travels on the inside of the parapet on a dedicated concrete runway to access the main Tower’s facade. The solution also includes a separate drum type materials hoist for glass handling and specialist cradle restraint components to provide access to the areas of the negatively sloped facade. The second part being a Rope Access Anchor System, Davit System and Monorail system located on Level 9 and Level 10 to access the levels from Level 10 and below.
