For over 60 years we have been providing reliable facade access solutions to clients across the globe. As the year draws to a close, we have reflected on some key projects in the year and achievements our team have made.
Warner Bros Complex, USA
One of the most famous film and television studios in the world, Warner Bros. is an iconic institute in Burbank, California and has recently opened a new 35-acre state-of-the-art development that contains a TV and broadcasting space and a media studio. The new development has been built with an eye-catching and contemporary aesthetic with no straight lines and positive and negative offsets and recessed areas to give the building a captivating appearance.
The team at CoxGomyl were approached to provide a facade access solution for this unique structure. Our team of technical experts used two CoxGomyl 5000 Series BMUs with a four-stage telescoping jib to ensure that access to the entire facade for cleaning and maintenance purposes was possible.
SLS Hotel, Dubai
The SLS Hotel is a new building on Dubai’s skyline and is currently the 12th tallest building in Dubai and the 95th tallest building in the world. As a luxury hotel with elite clientele, maintaining a pristine facade is of paramount importance to the hotel.
CoxGomyl were called upon to provide a reliable access solution that would allow the hotel to install glass windows and maintain the facade during the construction of the building. As the project needed to be completed by a strict deadline due to the upcoming opening of the hotel, CoxGomyl developed an efficient system, including a 5000 series building maintenance unit with a 3-stage telescopic jib and a soft rope system to ensure the hotel’s maintenance team had complete facade access prior to the hotel’s opening.
Journal Squared II, USA
Journal Squared II is a luxury residential apartment complex located in New Jersey. The apartments are spread across two towers, with a 1400-square-foot rooftop. CoxGomyl’s expertise was required to provide a facade access solution to the towers, which featured challenging protruding and recessed areas.
To ensure all areas of the facade could be accessed, a custom CoxGomyl 7000 series fixed position, building maintenance unit was used. Two main hoists were utilised for the cradle, allowing the maintenance team to access the protruding balconies of the building.
6&8 Parramatta Square, Australia
6&8 Parramatta Square are a pair of towers in Sydney with a height of 243 metres. The building will be home to the latest commercial office space in Sydney and boasts breath-taking views of Sydney’s CBD.
The buildings, designed by Johnson Pilton Walker, feature a ‘tiara’ design with many recessed facades. CoxGomyl’s team were hired to produce an access system that provided complete facade coverage. This posed a challenge as the facade of the building continued to be updated during the construction process. CoxGomyl rose to the challenge and delivered a solution that provided complete customer satisfaction.
