The contemporary landscape of German architecture presents a mix of innovative new buildings alongside the redevelopment and modernisation of historic structures. CoxGomyl’s highly adaptable facade access systems have been at the centre of the most exciting projects across the country.
Roschmann Group is a well known name in high quality facade and roof design, manufacture and installation, so the appropriate maintenance of the facade of their own new company headquarters was especially important. CoxGomyl was selected to engineer a building maintenance unit (BMU) to provide access across the facade of the 12 storey tower which was conceived as a landmark for the Gersthofen area and as a practical, attractive working space for both office based staff and the production team.
Silver Tower (or Silberturm) in Frankfurt was completed in 1978 and is a historically significant example of futurist architechture. Standing at 166 metres, it was the highest building in Germany until 1990. An extensive restoration and modernisation of the building began in 2009 in order to secure its future. An efficient CoxGomyl building maintenance unit replaced the old access system and will protect the exterior facade, including the key attraction of floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping around the top floor auditorium and conference facilities.
Bartningallee 9 in Berlin is a modernist high-rise tower designed by Gustav Hassenpflug and completed in 1957. The concept was defined by clean, elegant lines and the introduction of variable floor plans for each apartment. A modern and highly functional CoxGomyl BMU was required to replace an aging facade access system and secure the legacy of the building for many years to come.
Werk 4 is a central part of the exciting regeneration of the former industrial district of Munich, combining bold new architecture with the area’s historic past. The 86-metre hotel tower is integrated with an existing silo structure and a CoxGomyl building maintenance unit delivers all of the necessary manoeuvrability to achieve comprehensive coverage.
Hegau Tower in Singen won a CTBUH Best Tall Building Europe 2010 Award of Excellence and is notable for its environmental performance. This sustainable design includes flexible shading on the exterior of the southwest facades, making an appropriate facade access solution from a leading provider such as CoxGomyl all the more important.
Edge Grand Central in Berlin continues the trend towards sustainability, becoming the first building in Germany precertified Gold by the WELL Building Standard and Platinum by DGNB. Its airtight building envelope will be effectively and reliably maintained with a CoxGomyl BMU.
Whatever the requirements of a building, from new construction projects to replacement facade access solutions for established structures, the expert team at CoxGomyl designs and manufactures tailored solutions for precision facade access. Contact us to discuss a project.
